St Augustine’s Lunch Club meets on the first Thursday of every month and aims to provide a nutritional two-course lunch plus a social time for the more mature people of our parish.
We have eaten roast dinners, shepherds pie, sausage and mash to name a few plus crumbles, pineapple upside down puddings and a fabulous cheesecake that came via a donation from Waitrose.
We have had Lady Prentice bring a selection of clothes to sell and Ipswich HEARS has been and talked about the services they offer.
Our highlight of the year has to be as always Christmas Lunch. This consists of four courses plus wine and of course crackers because it wouldn’t be Christmas lunch without party hats!
Our hopes for the year ahead are that we can carry on providing for and serving the people who come through our doors and that Lunch Club can be accessible to all who need it.
