Birth of a Child

Children are the greatest gift and many people want to give thanks to God for them before their family and friends. There are two ways to do this at St Augustine’s as part of the Church of England: Thanksgivings and Baptism. Thanksgiving services are open to anybody; baptisms are for families that are regularly part of our church family, with believing parents.

Get in touch with our team using the form below and we’ll send you our Guide to Thanksgivings and Baptism.

Getting Married

Your big day! We’d love to be part of it! St Augustine’s offers a beautiful building in a convenient location, all the support you need to make sure your wedding is just how you want it, and guidance from the Bible to make sure your married life together gets off to the best start.

In order to get married with us, you need to prove one of you has a ‘qualifying connection’, such as living in the parish or having been baptised at St Augustine’s. Everything is explained in our Wedding Guide.

Funerals

A church funeral gives an opportunity to thank God for the life of your loved one, and offer the hope of the Christian message to those attending.

Please speak to your funeral director first, who will be in touch with us about any availability.

Memorial Garden

St Augustine’s has a small Memorial Garden adjacent to the south wall of the church. Because the Memorial Garden is very small, there is a necessarily restrictive policy about new plots. Plots are not allocated in advance (except in the case of double plots for spouses). Please contact our Office Team for more information.
