St. Augustine‘s Community Hub aims to provide a flexible, affordable space which fosters and promotes the life of the community of East Ipswich. The Hub is owned and operated by St Augustine’s Church but the ethos of the Hub is cooperative. We want every hirer and user to be a stakeholder in its success and to promote the best interests of the Hub.
We foresee a ‘mixed economy’ of users, from statutory services and small businesses to children’s and youth clubs. We also envision that the space will become a first home for new activities and enterprises which benefit our community in new ways.
The hub is also available to hire for parties and private events.
