Is St Augustine’s your church home?

If your answer is ‘Yes’, please join our new Electoral Roll by April 27.

The Electoral Roll is the official membership list of St Augustine’s Ipswich (and every local parish church like ours.)

It’s not the only way we identify who belongs to St A’s, but it’s the formal legal register of members which allows us to appoint our church council (PCC) and take part in wider church affairs.

We renew the Electoral Roll annually, but once every six years we are required to build the whole thing again from scratch.

This year, 2025, is one of those years, which means we need to ask everyone at St A’s two simple questions….

  1. Do you consider St Augustine’s to be your church home, or participate regularly in our life together?

  2. And are you over 16 (or soon to be 16) and a baptised Christian?

If you can answer ‘Yes’ to these questions, you should be on our Electoral Roll!

  • It’s really simple. All we require is some basic details from you and your signature.

This year, to minimise paperwork and administration, we are adding everyone to our Electoral Roll electronically. You can do it yourself by following this link. It takes less than two minutes.

To make sure no one is left out, we will be adding people to the Electoral Roll at services from March 16 to April 27, and every morning, Monday to Friday, in our Office in the Hub.

The deadline for joining our Electoral Roll is Sunday 27 April 2025.

  • Joining the Electoral Roll is a great way of confirming your commitment to the St A’s community and to our vision. It also allows you to take part in the life of the wider Church of England, at deanery, diocese and even national levels, if you’re interested in that.

There is no cost to joining the Electoral Roll, and no financial advantage or disadvantage to us as a church. Everyone who can be on the Electoral Roll should be on it.

  • We will keep your information secure in line with UK GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) regulations. Please see our privacy policy for more information.
