Alpha Online is a chance to explore the big questions of life and the Christian faith in a friendly, informal and open environment. We’ll send you a short video to watch whenever you like, then discuss what we thought about it together over Zoom. Simple.
Alpha takes place on Wednesday evenings at 7:30pm, over Zoom. You can say whatever you think, or nothing at all. The course is 11 sessions long, plus a Saturday morning, but why not try the first week and see what you think? There’s no pressure, no follow up, and no charge. What have you got to lose?
Alpha starts on Wednesday 21st April at 7:30pm.
Get a free Dominos pizza delivered to your door to enjoy during the first session—just sign up by midnight on Monday 19th April with an address in Ipswich.

“What distinguishes Alpha from other initiatives is the easy-going, relaxed feel of the proceedings – that, and its astonishing success.” – The Times, London
Alpha is a chance to explore life and the Christian faith in a friendly, informal and open environment. It’s relaxed, low key, friendly and fun. Listen, learn, discuss, discover, and ask anything. No question is too simple or too much.
Over 15 million people worldwide have now tried Alpha. Last year alone, 1.3 million people tried Alpha at tens of thousands of churches of all denominations across the world.
What happens at Alpha?
There are eleven Wednesday Alpha sessions, plus one Saturday morning. Alpha sessions start with a thought-provoking video, which you can watch in your own time. Then we get together on Zoom at 7:30pm to chat about what we thought of the video in small groups of around 10 people. You can say as much as you like, or nothing at all. It’s up to you. You don’t have to come to the whole course – just try the first session and see what you think.
What are the topics?
At Alpha we chat about all kind if big questions. Some of the topics include:
Who is Jesus? Why did Jesus die? How can we have faith? Why and how do I pray? Why and how should I read the Bible? How does God guide us? Who is the Holy Spirit? What does the Holy Spirit do? How can I be filled with the Holy Spirit? How can I resist evil? Why and how should I tell others? Does God heal today? What about the Church?
